Provincial People's Committee summarizes the socio-economic situation in October
On the morning of October 26, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Han, chaired a conference to review the socio-economic situation in October. During the month, the socio-economic situation continued to have many positive changes. Total budget revenue is 516,913 billion VND, 10 months accumulated 10,610,257 billion VND, reaching 102.68% of the estimate. Besides, budget expenditures were strictly, reasonably, and thriftily controlled. Total expenditure in the month was 1,153,894 billion VND, accumulated in 10 months spent 6,943,604 billion VND, reaching 65.8% of the estimate, decreasing by 14% compared to the previous month within the same period. Moreover, the operation of credit institutions is relatively stable. It is estimated that by the end of October, the total operating capital of credit institutions will reach VND 44,550 billion, increasing by 11.32% compared to the end of 2021.

Regarding agricultural production, from the beginning of the year until now, 199,101 hectares of rice have been sown, reaching 98.8% of the plan; harvested 134,367 ha, estimated output 754,409 tons, average yield 5.55 tons/ha. Regarding total output of aquatic products, 17,451 tons seafood, accumulated 190,124 tons in 10 months, reaching 80.9% of the plan, increasing by 2.2% over the same period. Dangerous diseases such as dermatitis, avian influenza, and foot-and-mouth disease continue to be controlled.

Industrial production value is estimated at 2,148.46 billion VND, accumulated in 10 months is 25,391.3 billion VND, reaching 91.2% of the plan. Enterprises continued to adapt and recover quickly for the processing and manufacturing industry. Most of the output of significant products increased over the same period, of which the number of products increased quite well. For example, finished shoes increased by 2.2 times more; bags of all kinds increased by 61.7%; crystalized sugar increased by 37.7%; all sorts of pills increased by 35.4%; milled rice increased by 18%, etc.

Besides, the Covid-19 epidemic tends to decrease compared to the previous month. Also, social welfare activities - such as showing gratitude and repaying, visiting people with meritorious services, prestigious people, and ethnic minorities - are carefully implemented. Lastly, vocational training and job creation achieved positive results; all kinds of crimes and social evils are concentrated on dismantling, preventing, and repelling.

Addressing the direction, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Han, suggested that provincial departments, agencies, and branches focus on reviewing incomplete tasks in the year so that the responsible parties attain socioeconomic targets in 2022. The focused charges mentioned are the proportion of the population participating in health insurance, total social investment capital, and urbanization rate. Besides are reviewing and evaluating the implementation of the Provincial People's Council's Resolution on socioeconomic development tasks, budget estimates, and public investment in 2022 and developing socioeconomic development plans, budget estimates policies, and public investment in 2023. Last is finalizing and submitting to the Prime Minister for approval of Tra Vinh Provincial Planning between 2021 and 2030, with a vision to 2050.
